Norman Dagley and Alf Nolan contest the 1970 Eng Am final, Dagley winning 4467 to 2373, with Dagley scoring freely from Postman’s Knock position. High break by ND was 467 (I met Alf once at some tournament and he kindly offered me one of his free maps of a billiard table for a £1, the one with 6 pockets, he said.)

Willie Thorne wins the Boys Billiard Championship. For someone who apparently has made 198 maximums at snooker, he could have been a good billiard player. Tis a pity he did not. Whatever happened Willie?

Dagley adds the CIU title to his Eng Am by defeating Roy Oriel 1193 to 634.

In Perth Bob Marshall wins the Australian Billiards, with a high break of 368.
